The Party of Women

Welcome to the Gaston County Republican Women's  web site on women and the Republican Party.  Because women have played a key role in the Republican Party since its establishment in 1854, we are rich in
information and history.

The Republican Party and Republican women were the primary force behind the women's suffrage movement and the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution;

Republican women made history by being the first women to serve in important roles; and Republican women today continue to explore uncharted territory on behalf of all women. Enjoy your journey through the site, and please contact us if you have any content suggestions or comments.
