In the United States, there is an enormous group of women who:
- are
not registered to vote;
- have
never voted or rarely vote;
- used
to vote on a regular basis but now feel disenfranchised from the
system;
- are
registered Independent and do not have ties to either major party;
or,
- are
new citizens who are not registered or who recently registered
to vote
Many
of these women are minorities, many speak English as a second language,
and many belong to communities that feel isolated from
our democratic process. These groups of women are the focus of our
Woman to Woman voter education program.
Our goal is to reach out to women from these demographic groups,
showing them that we share their values and beliefs and that we want
them to join us in the cause of good government.
Through a series of subprograms -- such as producing a multi-cultural
video, creating a Spanish web site, and launching a grassroots outreach
effort at the club level, we are communicating a powerful message:
that no matter who you are or where you come from, there is a place
for you in the NFRW and in the Republican Party. Our doors are open
to women of all ages, all ethnicities, all backgrounds. |
